Please do not kill me for this comment… I am so curious… we had to go away for 7 months and we made our house absolutely up to standards, have a cleaner, new linen etc. and we rent it out for quite a bit. If you bring pets in it changes obviously, but watering the garden or looking after the property is part of it, right? I think it changes when you bring pets into it. We had to board our pet ($10k later…. So actually breaking even really) but I’m always interested in hearing perspectives. If it’s cheap rent but but you have to look after a pet isn’t there something mutual people can agree too? Like, in this case they’re charging $500 but it would usually be $1000? We just decided to remove that whole pet thing and make it a proper standalone rental but I’m so confused why this is seen as really awful
