A magisterial inquiry report on the Palam fire incident has been submitted to the Home Department. The report identified serious lapses by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Delhi Fire Services. An electrical short circuit near the MCB box was the most probable cause of the fire. Combustible cosmetic products stored inside the building accelerated the fire's rapid spread.
