State-level Carrom Tournament in Nellore from July 31 - The HinduPublished - July 31, 2026 09:59 am IST - Nellore:The Andhra State Carrom Association (ASCA), in association with the SPSR Nellore District Carrom Association, will organise Andhra State 1st Ranking Carrom Tournament–2026 at Nellore Club from Friday (July 31, 2026). Around 200 players from 15 districts of the State are expected to participate in the three-day tournament.ASCA General Secretary Shaik Abdul Jaleel said, “This championship would bring together the finest carrom players to compete for the state ranking title. Experienced technical officials have been appointed to conduct the tournament. D.S.R. Murthy will officiate as the Chief Referee, while S.K. Sajida will serve as Assistant Chief Referee.”“The championship will feature several distinguished players, including international player CH. Janardhan Reddy from Visakhapatnam, international player B. Shobhika (Sports Quota Recruit, Income Tax Department), an employee of the AP Secretariat, and Guinness World Record holder S.K. Husna Sameera, along with many other leading players from across the state,” he informed.The competitions will be conducted in the Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles categories. All matches will be played on a knockout basis. The ranking points earned will play a vital role in the selection of the state team for forthcoming national championships.
