ShareAfter ending his trophy-laden decade with Manchester City at the end of last season, John Stones has decided to join Scudetto holders Inter.The next chapter of John Stones' career has taken him to Inter after the Serie A champions announced his arrival on Thursday following his exit from Manchester City. Stones has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Inter after leaving City following a trophy-laden 10-year spell under Pep Guardiola at the end of last season. The 32-year-old was of reported interest to Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea, but he has opted to link up with Cristian Chivu's side ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. During his time at the Etihad Stadium, Stones made 295 appearances across all competitions after joining from Everton in a reported £50m deal in August 2016.He went on to win 17 major honours during his time in Manchester, which included six Premier League titles and the Citizens' first Champions League crown three years ago.Stones was also a part of England's World Cup squad, playing a major role as they recorded their best-ever finish at the tournament on foreign soil, clinching the bronze medal.He is Inter's fourth arrival of this transfer window, following the signings of Ivan Provedel, Aleksandar Stankovic, and his former City team-mate Manuel Akanji.Stones, who struggled with injuries towards the end of his City career, will now be aiming to help Inter defend their Serie A crown in the upcoming season.He could make his debut when Inter open their season against Monza on August 22.
