MNQ: the four levels that decide Sunday's reopenMicro E-mini Nasdaq-100 Index FuturesCME_MINI:MNQ1!dhruvnpFriday closed at 28,403 after a 646-point range - 28,080 to 28,726. That is a wide week to reopen into, so here is the map I am watching on Sunday rather than a prediction. The levels below are not drawn by eye. They are places where price put in a session high or low at least twice within 40 points, which is the only definition of a level I trust: two or more sessions' worth of real orders resting in the same place. AT PRICE 28,258 - 28,298 (2 touches). Friday's overnight low sits at 28,258 and Thursday's high at 28,298. Price closed just above this band. It is the first thing Sunday has to resolve. BELOW 28,060 - 28,100 (4 touches). The strongest shelf on the board. Four separate sessions turned inside a 40-point band, and Friday's low of 28,080 is one of them. If Sunday works lower, this is where it gets interesting rather than at any round number on the way. 27,932 - 27,939 (2 touches). 27,318 - 27,338 (2 touches). ABOVE 28,616 - 28,641 (2 touches). 28,726 - 28,763 (2 touches). Friday's high lives here. WHAT I ACTUALLY DO WITH THIS Nothing, until the reopen has traded for a while. Sunday evening is the thinnest tape of the week - the same measured problem as the overnight session, which came out flat noise in our testing on both halves of a train/test split with realistic costs included. Thin tape moves a long way on very little and reverses just as easily. So the map is for Monday's session, not for Sunday night. The single thing worth watching Sunday is which side of 28,258 - 28,298 price settles on, because that decides whether the 28,060 - 28,100 shelf or the 28,616+ band is the one in play. One honest note on round numbers: 28,200 and 28,300 sit right in this zone, and moves tend to stall roughly 30 points early at round hundreds far more often than they reach them cleanly. I do not treat those as levels - they are where other people's stops are. Not financial advice. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss. This is a map of where orders have been, not a forecast of where price will go.
