Of those 291 changes, an overwhelming 288 items saw a price increase, while only three items went down in price.On average, prices across these sit-down menus rose by about 6.5%. While the median increase per item was exactly $1.00, the cumulative effect of these hikes will undoubtedly be felt by families sitting down for a full meal.Where It Hit the HardestThe recent price adjustments were not applied evenly across all locations. Some restaurants saw a higher percentage increase on average than others. A large portion of this price hike was aimed squarely at adult beverages. Of the 291 price changes tracked, 138 were cocktails and beers, and another 37 were premium spirit pours.Credit: DisneyWhile most bar drinks only went up by a single dollar, this seemingly small bump pushed dozens of drinks over a significant psychological price barrier. In June, there were 77 bar drinks priced at $20 or more across these 13 locations; after this price hike, that number has jumped to 118.Forty-one drinks that were priced between $18.00 and $19.75 have officially crossed the $20 threshold. At Carthay Circle, for example, popular cocktails like the Double Pear Martini, Tequila Daisy, and Aviation Cocktail all jumped to $24.00, representing a nearly 8% increase.Character Dining and Dining PackagesIt isn’t just standard entrées and drinks getting more expensive; specialty dining experiences are also feeling the squeeze.Credit: DisneyCharacter dining, a staple for many Disney vacations, saw notable bumps. The beloved character breakfast at the Plaza Inn on Main Street U.S.A. increased from $55 to $58 for adults and from $33 to $35 for children. Over at the Disneyland Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen increased its brunch prices from $64 to $67 per adult and $36 to $38 per child, while its dinner service jumped a staggering $7, from $69 to $76 per adult.Dining packages tied to entertainment also saw massive hikes. The World of Color Dining Package at Storytellers Café rose from $79 to $86 for adults. More significantly, the child price for this package jumped from $44 to $53—a massive 20.5% increase. For a family of four (two adults, two children), this package now costs $278 before tax and gratuity, up $32 from just last month.The Only Restaurant to Lower PricesIn a rare twist, out of the 291 menu changes, three items actually went down in price.
