White Rocks has moved a step closer to becoming a fully-fledged National Park after Cabinet approved the publication of a Legal Notice that will grant the site legal protection. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)The new legal framework will officially designate White Rocks as a National Park, ensuring the site is safeguarded for public access, recreation and conservation, with Project Green responsible for its administration.Prime Minister Robert Abela announced the development in a social media video, saying the government is continuing to deliver on its vision for White Rocks.The move builds on months of work to transform the former tourism complex. Earlier this year, cleanup crews removed millions of kilograms of waste from the site before parts of White Rocks were opened to the public for the first time. Around 12,000 people also took part in a nationwide consultation to help shape the park’s future.The government said the legal protection forms part of a wider commitment to shield Malta’s public parks and gardens from future development.What would you like to see included in White Rocks National Park?•
