Labourer dies after falling from tree in N.R. Pura taluk of Chikkamagaluru district on Tuesday.The deceased has been identified as Harish, a resident of Gadigeshwara in Aduvalli village. According to the police, he climbed a tree around 10.30 a.m. to cut leafy branches. He allegedly slipped and fell after a dry branch broke beneath him, sustaining fatal injuries.Based on a complaint filed by his wife, Lakshmi, the Narasimharajapura police have registered a case against Girijamma, a resident of the same village.In her complaint, Lakshmi stated that Girijamma had requested Harish to bring leafy branches from the forest. She alleged that Harish had initially declined, saying he was unwell, but Girijamma insisted that he accompany her and complete the work for the day.
