A court has ordered the social media personalities behind the Unstoppable Family to stop publishing content about their ongoing child custody case, ruling that continued broadcasts could cause “serious prejudice” to the two children involved.According to MaltaToday, Judge Giovanni Grixti granted a warrant of inhibition requested by the Directorate for Child Protection against parents Stefan Gatt and Caroline Agius, as well as social media broadcaster Publius Said, better known as Leo Said.The couple had taken to social media after their children were removed from their care under the Child Protection (Alternative Care) Act, using livestreams and videos to criticise authorities, discuss details of the case and call for changes to Malta’s child protection laws.In his ruling, Judge Grixti said the broadcasts risked harming the children by exposing personal information, including photographs, sensitive details of the proceedings and the identity of their current carer. He noted that, in a small country like Malta, such disclosures could have lasting consequences.However, the court stressed that the order does not prevent the parents from campaigning for changes to the law or criticising the authorities. Instead, it specifically prohibits them from publishing further information relating to their children’s case.The judge also refused a request to order the removal of videos and posts that have already been published, explaining that a warrant of inhibition is intended to prevent future actions rather than reverse those that have already taken place.Lawyer Christian Camilleri appeared for the Directorate.
