More than 12,000 pounds of imported smoked bacon have been recalled, according to a July 24 alert from the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).The not-ready-to-eat bacon, which is sold in three states, is produced by Maple Leaf Foods, Inc., located in Lisle, Illinois. The issue was discovered during routine inspection activities.The USDA classified this as a Class I recall, its most serious category of recalls.
