CO2. They're legally classified as gas-pistols where I'm from. AND I really have to emphsize the "less-lethal" part on those. With their large caliber and high veloicty can be enough to break bones (esspecially kids-bones). There would be a real possibility to take out an eye or crack another kids skull with one of these.
