Disneyland has sold out of another date for its popular upcoming Halloween event, leaving only one option for guests looking for weekend dates in September. September 20’s disappearance brings the total to 10 before the first party begins on August 18.August 30 tickets cost $159 per guest ages three and older, according to Disneyland’s official Oogie Boogie Bash information. Children two and younger do not require tickets.There is another Sunday on the calendar: September 27. However, Disney designated that party as an exclusive evening for D23 members and their guests, with separate ticket access through the company’s official fan club. It is therefore not an ordinary alternative for general guests browsing Disneyland’s standard ticket inventory.For families planning around work and school, that leaves a stark choice: secure August 30 while it remains available, qualify for the D23 event, or shift the trip to a Tuesday or Thursday.Credit: DisneyMore Parties Did Not Preserve Weekend FlexibilityDisneyland expanded Oogie Boogie Bash to 33 nights in 2026, up from the then-record 31 dates offered in 2025. The longer schedule created more overall capacity, but most parties still fall on weekdays.Disney revealed the expanded 2026 calendar in December, scheduling events primarily on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Halloween itself falls on a Saturday this year, but that $199 event sold out shortly after general ticket sales opened.The pattern is now difficult to miss. When Inside the Magic reported the first six unavailable nights, five were Sundays and the sixth was Halloween. Since then, the list has absorbed three more Sundays and one Thursday.This does not establish why individual purchasers selected those dates, and Disney does not release capacity or sales totals for each event. Still, the calendar shows the practical result: guests who cannot attend on a work or school night have substantially fewer options than the headline number of 33 parties might suggest.The pace also deserves context. In 2025, all 31 parties had sold out by August 22. The 2026 event has not reached that point. With 10 dates unavailable as of August 1, buyers retain far more choices than they would if the entire season had disappeared during the June on-sale period.Credit: Jay Boogie, FlickrWhat Oogie Boogie Bash Guests Receive—and What Changes in 2026Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed, limited-capacity event running from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Ticket holders may enter Disney California Adventure at 3 p.m. without purchasing separate daytime admission or making a park reservation for that entry.The party includes immersive treat trails, Disney character encounters, Villains Grove, seasonal attraction overlays, and unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass images captured during event hours. Parking is not included, and Disney does not offer Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Premier Pass, or Single Pass during the party.Returning guests will also encounter a significant entertainment change. Disneyland will not present the Frightfully Fun Parade during the 2026 parties. As Inside the Magic previously reported in its coverage of the parade’s removal, construction at Disney California Adventure affected the traditional parade route.Disney is instead debuting Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, featuring music, dancers, characters, and Haunted Mansion imagery.That altered lineup has not stopped the most convenient dates from filling. It has, however, created a different decision for repeat visitors: pay as much as $199 for a five-hour party whose central entertainment offering has changed, or select an earlier and less expensive weekday.Disney says sold-out tickets are not available on the day of the event. The company does not promise that additional inventory will be released, meaning guests should treat an unavailable date as closed unless the official ticketing calendar changes.For now, Oogie Boogie has not locked everyone out.
