Two more QNET representatives arrested in Hyderabad investment fraud case - The HinduPublished - August 01, 2026 08:15 pm IST - HYDERABADThe Hyderabad Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has arrested two more alleged independent representatives of QNET/Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Private Limited from Pune in connection with an investment fraud case in which victims were allegedly induced to invest around ₹28 lakh in a multi-level marketing scheme.The accused, Padamati Surender Reddy, 55, a Hyderabad native working in Pune, and Parwinder Singh, 37, originally from West Bengal and residing in Pune, were arrested on July 31 and brought to Hyderabad on transit warrants. They were later produced before the XII Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Nampally and remanded to judicial custody.According to the police, the accused, operating as independent representatives of QNET, induced two families to invest in the business after portraying it as an international e-commerce and direct-selling venture that would generate income through product sales and commissions.Police said Surender Reddy arranged a meeting at a hotel in Hyderabad in August 2025, where Parwinder Singh allegedly persuaded the complainants to obtain personal loans to join the business after they expressed their inability to invest large sums.The investigation revealed that the victims invested a total of $30,232 (approximately ₹28 lakh) after taking personal loans. Police alleged that the accused misrepresented the business as a genuine direct-selling enterprise while concealing that it operated through a binary-chain multi-level marketing structure. They also alleged that QNET accounts and email IDs were created in the names of some complainants without their knowledge, linked to contact details controlled by the accused, and that the victims were pressured to recruit new members. When they sought cancellation of their memberships and a refund, the money was allegedly not returned.Police said the director of Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Private Limited, Dilipraj Pukkella, had already been arrested in the case on May 27.
