This reminds me of when I was pregnant with my son. I made my baby registry and literally only put basics - and I added a maxi cosi travel system fully not expecting anyone to get it as it was almost $500 and that’s what I was willing to pay. My husband’s family is well off and I was so shocked and grateful when his aunt gifted me the travel system at my baby shower. Last year , my husbands younger brother got his gf pregnant, the baby has DS and heart defects so my FIL paid for them to move to Boston near the hospital and pays their 4k a month rent, he bought my Highlander off of me to give to the girlfriend , and pays other bills as well. He was complaining they don’t have anything so my FIL said to send him a registry of what they need….. This registry had the MOST expensive name brand shit that exists. Not necessities. She put a $2500 Nuna travel system on the set. $120 baby blanket. Just absolutely ridiculous things. My FIL bought everything on the registry for them, even though he can’t stand the gf. I was just shocked at the audacity and entitlement of this girl when my FIL is already doing so much for them
