A TikTok influencer says there’s “not much better” than a trip to Texas Roadhouse. The creator, who goes by the username @ashley.hoskins, explained that she and her husband decided to go on an impromptu date night—and for her, it could not have been a better choice. Ashley explained how she loves everything about the chain, from the little things like the condiments and butter to the value of the meals. On that particular night, she was taking advantage of a deal that included two appetizers for $15. However, the ribeye was the real reason she was there. In the video, when she finally gets to it, she explains how the steak has remained consistently good every time she has visited Texas Roadhouse. And you can fight me on that.” She adds that the steak is cooked perfectly medium-rare before tilting it toward the camera and saying, “Don’t know if you can see. It does not get any better.” The restaurant is clearly well-loved in its community. This is far from the first time someone has taken to social media to leave a glowing review praising the quality of its food. That’s not to say it is a perfect place. Because of the heavy foot traffic Texas Roadhouse locations often attract, viral moments and customer drama inevitably follow. The main difference compared with many other restaurant chains is that the controversy is rarely driven by the food itself. Some users argued that Texas Roadhouse now has legitimate competition. One user wrote, “I don’t know that Outlaw Ribeye at LongHorn impressed the hell out of me. I like them both.” Another asked, “I like regular butter better too! Who has the better ranch, Wingstop or TX Roadhouse?” For others, however, Texas Roadhouse still stood above the rest. One user wrote, “I’m so glad you can get regular butter. Cinnamon butter on yeast rolls or any kind of rolls throws me off big-time. I was planning on bringing my own butter from home but now I don’t. Thank you!!!” Another suggested the chain still has room for improvement, writing, “Always a solid meal! Wish they made better margaritas, their mix is horrible, even with a Patron shooter.” The hard part comes next The verdict, at least among many of the people commenting, seems fairly clear. There is usually value in listening to the customers who frequent a restaurant most often, as they tend to have the best sense of whether its menu is worth the visit. Extra points if they are repeat customers. Texas Roadhouse appears to have earned the trust of many in its community. By the looks of things, it has earned that reputation. The harder part, as always, is maintaining those standards.
