GAIL and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers have signed an agreement for a joint venture. This collaboration aims to establish a new gas-based fertiliser plant in Maharashtra. The proposed urea plant will have a significant production capacity of 1.27 million tonnes annually. It will be strategically located near GAIL's existing natural gas pipeline. This project will help meet India's growing fertiliser demand and boost regional industrial development.
