FTSE 100 — a third straight record, led by minersFTSE 100 IndexFTSE_DLY:UKXplexustendLondon has spent the last year building one structure, and July has been the part where it pays off. August 2025 into January 2026: a steady climb to a record close above 10,100 — the bundle runs beneath price through the whole stretch, structure and direction agreeing. February to April 2026: a pullback. Price works back down through the structure that had been carrying it. May to July 2026: the recovery, and then some. The index takes out the old high and keeps going. This week: a third consecutive intraday record, near 10,950, on its biggest monthly gain since February. Miners and energy led, tracking higher copper prices, while the Bank of England held rates. Notably, London has been climbing while tech-heavy indices sold off — a different structure entirely from the one on the Nasdaq chart right now.
