Four lifeguards from the Emergency Response & Rescue Corps (ERRC) sprang into action this afternoon after a tourist was found face down at Marsalforn Bay.The incident happened at around 5pm, when bystanders alerted the lifeguards to a man, believed to be in his 60s, who was face down on the bay with a head injury.The ERRC team immediately intervened and began administering CPR after he stopped breathing.Thanks to the lifeguards’ swift intervention, the man was successfully resuscitated and started breathing again before being transferred to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.The man’s condition has not yet been officially confirmed.The swift response came after members of the public quickly alerted the lifeguards, allowing them to intervene without delay.Lovin Malta wishes the man a full and speedy recovery.•
