Good Smile Company announced that, due to the demand for the new figures of Junji Ito horror icon Tomie decked out with accessories tied to Sanrio character Hello Kitty, there will be a second round of pre-orders for the statue. There is also a new product page on the Japanese site that notes the latest orders will ship in June 2027 in Japan, rather than May 2027. The US storefront listing also updated and now shows a Q1 2028 release window for any new purchases. The price remains unchanged for this second round, so it still will cost $149.99 / 18,800 yen. It isn’t showing up on the Good Smile Company Amazon storefront yet There seems to be no change to the date pre-orders end. The Japanese listing and announcement page both mention people who are buying the figure now can do so until September 23, 2026. After that point, someone would need to wait until launch to see if there are any additional figures available via the direct storefront or Amazon. As a reminder, this is a static, greyscale figure of a gyaru version of Tomie wearing a school uniform and a lot of accessories based on Hello Kitty. It comes with no additional parts or accessories. When displayed, it stands at five and a half inches tall (140mm). It follows other kinds of Junji Ito Sanrio crossover merchandise like stickers, shirts, and clear files.Go Ad-Free With Siliconera+View the site with no ads, be able to provide direct feedback about what we cover, and be automatically entered into our monthly PC game giveaway.Join Siliconera+ The first round of pre-orders for the Gyaru Tomie Hello Kitty Junji Ito figure will show up in Japan in May 2027, and later worldwide in Q4 2027.
