You’re talking about my parents! My dad worked long hours, my mom didn’t work but was never home. Had childcare and after school programs till I was old enough to be on my own. Then…I was just on my own all day, every day (no siblings either). Learned to cook for myself and shop for myself and do my laundry at a fairly young age. 🤷🏼♀️ Mom wonders why I don’t have a close relationship with her as an adult. Hm…I wonder why.
