A handful of hours after WinStar Farm's boom freshman sire Life Is Good (Into Mischief) was represented by his fourth 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard in the form of the debuting filly Life Changing, the stallion's first-crop son Lizhitsumodoraichi became his ninth individual winner with a front-running victory in a newcomers' event over 1800 meters Sunday afternoon at Niigata Racecourse.Sent off the 43-10 third betting favorite to open his account at first asking, the Apr. 3 foal was sent straight into the lead from the five hole by leading jockey Keita Tosaki and galloped his 11 rivals along at a leisurely tempo over the left-turning track. Held together into the straight, the Hideyuki Mori trainee opened a bit of daylight approaching the final 200 meters and held sway to graduate by a comfortable 1 1/2 lengths over second choice Ten Yumeno Aurora (Jpn) (Le Vent Se Leve {Jpn}).The winner's dam, third in the grassy GII Jessamine Stakes as a juvenile and victorious in the Northbound Pride Oaks at three in 2020, was purchased by Mulholland Springs for $255,000 at the 2021 Keeneland November Sale.
