The MSPCA Charity Shops have been given a colourful makeover this October, with their windows turning pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From pink clothing to colourful second-hand treasures, teams across the charity shops have filled their displays with pink throughout the month, combining a little creativity with an important message about breast cancer awareness, early detection and supporting those affected by the disease.“Awareness matters, early detection matters, and supporting one another matters,” MSPCA Charity Shops said as it unveiled the Pink October displays, inviting shoppers to stop by and perhaps discover a pink treasure of their own.And there’s another cause behind every purchase. Money raised through the MSPCA’s charity shops goes towards supporting its work caring for animals in need, meaning shoppers can give pre-loved items a new home while helping the organisation continue its animal welfare work.October is internationally recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, commonly known as Pink October, with organisations, charities and communities using the colour pink to encourage awareness and conversations around the disease. So, whether you’re hunting for some pink fashion, looking for a bargain or simply want to support the MSPCA’s work, the charity is encouraging people to “shop with purpose, support a cause, think pink.”Have you spotted the MSPCA’s pink windows yet?Photo credits to @mspca.charity.shops•
