KSEAB increases SSLC exam fee by 5% - The HinduPublished - October 02, 2026 08:33 pm IST - BengaluruCandidates appearing for the SSLC examinations will now have to pay a fee of ₹746 this year, compared to ₹710 last year. | Photo Credit: File PhotoThe Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has increased the SSLC examination fee for the March/April 2027 examinations by 5%.With this hike, candidates appearing for the SSLC examinations have to pay a fee of ₹746 this year, compared to ₹710 last year.The board has issued a circular in this regard, justifying the hike by citing a 2020 government order that proposed an annual fee revision.The board has also directed schools to collect the revised fee from students registering for examinations under all categories. “The 5% hike is for all category students including repeaters, freshers and private candidates,” reads the circular.According to the circular, the fee for private freshers has increased to ₹260 from ₹248.
