I built an app for the "can you keep an eye out for this?" things that always get forgotten

Wait 5 sec.

Everyone has a few things they're quietly hunting for: a specific perfume, a lamp you saw once, a discontinued secondhand jacket. You mention it to friends and family over coffee, at dinner, or in a group chat, and a week later nobody remembers. So I built Keep an Eye Out, a small private board for you and your people. You post what you're looking for, and it stays in front of everyone instead of slipping their mind. When somebody's out and spots it, they send it back: a photo, a link, a place on a map, or just a note. Some choices I made on purpose: - No public feed, no strangers. Groups are invite-only and nothing leaves them. - No ads, no tracking, free. - Notifications you choose one by one, not all or nothing. - Six colour themes and a home screen widget, plus a lot of time spent on the small stuff. It's live on the App Store (iPhone): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813109714 I'd like honest feedback before I push it any further. If you try it, bring one or two people you'd actually ask to look out for something. On your own it's an empty room, which isn't a fair test. Roast it, I'd rather hear it now. submitted by /u/Mesni1 [link] [comments]
