Winning hurdler Los Blanco (Masked Marvel) was one of 18 lots sold during the Thoroughbred September Sale. Bought by Andy Irving for £22,000, he was consigned by Henry de Bromhead.Irvine told ThoroughBid, “I had my eye on a few in the sale, particularly Kenny's Jewel, but then Los Blanco caught the eye of one of my owners and we were keen to get him. He's rated 120 over in Ireland so it will be interesting to see what he's rated when he comes over here. The plan will be to aim for one of the big £50,000 handicaps at Plumpton.”At the close of trade, 18 horses had sold from 28 offered (64%) for a gross of £121,600. The average was £6,755 and the median was £4,000.James Richardson, CEO of ThoroughBid, said, “The September Sale was a really busy day of bidding, including several getting involved from overseas, and we're pleased to see lots of satisfied consigners and purchasers at the end of it.“We're thrilled with the range of people involved in the September Sale and would like to once again thank all the vendors for their support. All attention now turns to the October Sale, with entries closing on Monday 19th October.”The post Los Blanco Leads ThoroughBid September Sale appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
