Looking to make it a perfect five-for-five at the Great Race Place, THOUGHT PROCESS (f, 4, Collected–Creative Thinking, by Creative Cause) hit the ground running from pole position in Saturday's GII Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita and made every pole a winning one in the 'Win and You're In' qualifier for the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Keeneland on Oct. 31.Sent off the 4-5 mortal to make amends for a latest runner-up effort in the GII John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar last month, the Brereton Jones homebred was in front from the opening bell and already had a margin on her rivals after an opening quarter mile in :24.51. She switched off beautifully for Hector Berrios through the middle stages, with an internal half-mile in :48.03 and it was going to take something unforeseen to overturn her.Asked to kick just a bit as she rolled into the final three panels, Thought Control and Berrios upped the tempo and the filly threw in a final two furlongs in :22.62 to report home about five lengths to the good of CTT & TOC Stakes winner Vronti (GB) (Night of Thunder {Ire}).Lifetime Record: 12-8-1-2.
