/u/rafaelloaa on Perfect opportunity for a teacher willing to “volunteer”

Yep. I was homeschooled, and my parents were constantly working on organizing classes with other kids, group projects, study materials for me, 1-on-1 tutoring, field trips, etc. Without question my parents put in far more time, energy, and money into my education than if I had gone to public school. But it was worth it. I got to take amazing classes all around the city, wander through nearly empty museums at my own pace, become friends with a ton of fascinating people of all types, and shape my education based on my interests (along with the required curricula for the state's standardized testing). Tldr, if you're going to homeschool your kid, please have the time and money to do it correctly.
