The biggest problem in this scenario is that OOP keeps saying how the person should have another form of income, ideally remote, but that there are also some opportunities in town. Then she casually mentions that on days when the person has to pick up meat - twice a week - it will take about half a day. That's in addition to the REGULAR daily chores, which she estimated to take about 3 hours a day, but warned they could take longer (which in my life experience means they 100% will). So those are basically 2 entire days out of 5 each week where you can't do anything non animal-related. So that leaves the person with 3 days a week, and not even full days, for doing outside work. I dunno. Are there a lot of remote jobs willing to work around this wonky kind of schedule? And even if there were some unicorn of a job, how much money could the person possibly earn, being available 20 hours (or less) each week? Probably OOP is one of those people that thinks people with remote jobs don't actually have to put in the hours they are supposed to be working, so they can take something full-time and then just skip out all the time. 🤦
