Tottenham fans commented:“Blanchflower Nicholson Mackay Perryman Kane Rowe. Always thought statues should reflect the past but represent how you want to be perceived today. Record holder and winners only.”“This is hard – Greaves, Ricky, Ozzy, Kane, Ledley. Honourable mentions: Defoe, Keane, Jennings, Son, Hoddle, Waddle, Davis, Bale, Blanchflower, Dembele.”“Blanchflower, Greaves, Hoddle, King, Kane. Separate statue for Bill Nicholson.”“Lucas Moura deserves one for his hat-trick against Ajax back in 2019 to take us to the Champions League final.”“Greaves, Hoddle, Perryman, Kane and Son.”“Bill Nich, Blanchflower, Greaves, Son, Hoddle.”“Bill Nick or Danny Blanchflower.”“Kane. Son. Bale. King. Greaves.”“Steve Perryman – most appearances and won trophies.”“Mabbutt, Hoddle, Kane, Perryman, Greaves.”Spurs working on several fan initiativesShould a statue be unveiled, it would certainly be a welcome initiative by Tottenham as they continue to strengthen their connection with supporters.Last year, the club took a significant step in that direction by reinstating the famous Bill Nicholson Gates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, placed between the ticket office and the historic buildings to the north of the ground. This season, the aim to build stronger ties with fans continues. Several initiatives were shared in the latest meeting with the Fans’ Advisory Board, including the prospect of a museum. The minutes of the FAB meeting stated:The FAB thanked the club for the Hall of Fame and the Women’s Legacy Numbers.A working group for the statue project (or a comparable initiative) is to be convened, including the club’s creative team.In relation to a museum, the club’s view was that a dedicated museum would be prohibitively expensive and might not represent the best use of funds. The club and the Heritage working group are to consider alternative approaches.A Show Racism the Red Card initiative, led by Tony Stevens, will in mid-October celebrate the first eleven Black players to represent the men’s first team and the club’s first Black women’s players.Work is also planned for next year to mark a decade since the club left White Hart Lane, including tracing parts of the old stadium that were donated elsewhere.Spurs also confirmed to the FAB that they are planning to form a working group to assess how to improve the atmosphere at home matches. The minutes said:The club had continued to survey match-going supporters on stadium atmosphere. The working group is to be convened, with its first meeting of the season scheduled for October or November 2026, covering the vocal section, stadium production and organic, supporter-generated atmosphere, together with governance, strategy and objectivesREAD MORE: Ben Davies pockets Erling Haaland to make case to replace Van Hecke at TottenhamThe post Tottenham fans name 20 legends they want turned into statues outside Spurs stadium appeared first on Spurs Web.
