Karnataka is facing a severe drought situation affecting farmers and the general public. Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has requested Rs 3,705.30 crore for relief under NDRF norms. The Central Inter-Ministerial Drought Assessment Team is visiting to assess the situation over three days.
