You can find someone attractive and still have no idea whether you’d enjoy spending an afternoon with them. That gap is what I’m working on. I’m Abhirr, a developer building a dating app called Zimzy. I wanted to share the thinking behind and verify it here. Photos matter. Attraction matters. But there’s also how someone talks, what they get excited about, and whether a conversation feels comfortable. Those things can be difficult to get across in a profile. My goal with Zimzy is to make it easier to go from “this person looks interesting” to actually getting to know them, without needing to write the perfect bio and even before matching. I’m not claiming I’ve solved dating. An app can introduce people; it can’t promise chemistry. But I think there’s room to try a different approach. It’s still in development. Here’s the website if you’d like to take a look: www.zimzy.date (I'd really love feedbacks on the design) One thing I’d really like to hear: what’s something you only discover after talking to a match that you wish you could have understood earlier? submitted by /u/iamabhirr [link] [comments]
