A 24-year-old Guatemalan illegal alien was arrested twice over just 18 hours in Putnam County, New York. The illegal alien, Diego Rodriguez-Ordonez, has prior sex-offense convictions and was released into the United States during the Biden administration.Authorities took Rodriguez-Ordonez into custody around 3:05 a.m. Wednesday after deputies assisting the Kent Police Department found him hiding in a swampy area near a gas station.Authorities said he allegedly robbed a Kent convenience store and assaulted a clerk who tried to stop him. Kent police charged him with robbery, assault, and felony criminal mischief tied to a separate incident at a nearby bank. He was released with an ankle monitor. That same evening, Putnam County 911 sent sheriff’s deputies to the Southeast Metro-North station after a woman reported that a man had touched her aboard a train and later groped her on the platform.Deputies found Rodriguez-Ordonez near the train yard. He refused repeated commands and resisted arrest, and officers deployed a Taser, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department said, according to a report from the New York Post.Rodriguez-Ordonez was still wearing the ankle monitor issued earlier that day. He was charged with forcible touching, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.A judge in Southeast Justice Court set bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.ICE has lodged a detainer.A DHS spokesperson told the Post that Rodriguez-Ordonez also has pending charges for sexual assault, possession of stolen property, assault, larceny, burglary, crimes against a person, dangerous drugs, fraud, and property crimes.Border Patrol first encountered him in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas on December 11, 2018.In March 2021, the Biden administration released him from ICE custody, DHS said.“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, if you break the law, you will face the consequences,” the spokesperson said. “Criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the US.”Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess told the Post it was upsetting that Rodriguez-Ordonez was still on the street.“It’s definitely upsetting that he’s out here assaulting our citizens — arrested that same day within 24 hours of being released the day earlier — and looking at his history of 17 arrests in the last two years you wonder how this guy can still be out there hurting our people,” Hess said. The post Guatemalan Illegal Alien Sex Offender Arrested Twice in 18 Hours in New York Thanks to Sanctuary Policies appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
