A player who Tottenham Hotspur could have signed for just £2.5m in the summer is coming into his own this season.Roberto De Zerbi’s side have struggled for goals this term, having found the back of the net just twice across five Premier League games.Tottenham fans are wondering if the club made the right decision to sell Will Lankshear, who has looked a better finisher than both Omar Marmoush and Dominic Solanke this season. If that were not enough, Spurs academy graduate Troy Parrott is thriving for Ireland and Real Betis, which has led some supporters to ask why the Lilywhites did not consider bringing him back to N17.Photo by Malcolm Mackenzie/Getty ImagesTottenham’s decision not to sign James Wilson looks like a mistakeScottish starlet James Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan at Spurs from Hearts, which was essentially a trial period for the teenager. The 19-year-old bagged four goals in 11 appearances for Spurs U21s last season, but the Lilywhites did not activate the £2.5m option to land him permanently in the summer.Wilson has been outstanding since returning to Hearts in the summer, with the young centre-forward having scored five goals in 10 appearances for the Scottish club this term.If that were not enough, the youngster is also turning it on for Scotland’s U21s, with his goal against Azerbaijan on Wednesday night being his fifth in his last nine appearances.Watch Wilson’s latest goal for Scotland’s U21s below:#SCO21s | Another!
