I'm also in Canada—cis but multiply disabled. I'm not sure about plasma, but I know that you can't donate whole blood if you have ANY medical tests outstanding. I was once denied because I had an x-ray done on my spine (can't remember why, but I know it wasn't serious, and I had already read the report on Pocket Health) but hadn't been to the doctor's for the results yet. During the period of covid where masking wasn't fully required but many were still choosing to, I wore an N95 to go donate. They had me pull my mask down to take my temp with a sublingual measurement. It was high, because the mask obviously made my mouth warmer than usual. I asked if I could have a few minutes with the mask down to re-regulate my mouth temp. Protocol at that time didn't allow a repeat temperature measurement. Canadian Blood Services doesn't fuck around.
