Former Tottenham Hotspur striker and Arsenal fan Darren Bent has revealed his list of the five biggest London clubs in the Premier League. One can easily argue that London is the home of football, not only because it hosts the iconic Wembley Stadium, but also due to the number of top clubs from the city. Some of England’s and Europe’s greatest institutions are based in the capital, and some of the game’s most historic rivalries are from the city, none more so than the North London derby. In total, 14 clubs compete in the top three divisions of English football, with the Premier League having six, and four each in the Championship and League One. In fourth, I have got West Ham. Obviously a European trophy recently. You go back to the great players they had as well. Some of their fans believe they won the World Cup in 66. West Ham fans are everywhere.“In three, I have got Spurs. I think they have won 27 major trophies. But Spurs are a big club. In two, I have got Chelsea, and in one I have Arsenal.”⚒️ "West Ham fans are everywhere!"🤍 "Spurs are a big club, come on!"Darren Bent lists his top 5 London clubs! 💪Subscribe to the talkSPORT YouTube channel! pic.twitter.com/IIEfbxIwnR— talkSPORT (@talkSPORT) October 1, 2026Chelsea were artificially inflated before the financial restrictions came into effectAt a time when Manchester City being found guilty of 114 financial breaches is dominating the headlines, perhaps more fans should reflect on what Chelsea did in the early years of this century.Had the same financial rules come into effect 10 years before they did, Roman Abramovich would not have been able to fund Chelsea’s growth in the manner that he did. While Spurs have achieved organic growth, the only reason Blues are as big as they are now is that they got lucky enough to be taken over by a Russian Oligarch.Ironically, Abramovich reportedly wanted to buy Tottenham, but turned to Chelsea instead as the Spurs owners were only willing to sell a minority stake.READ MORE: Tottenham face three-horse race for Eli Junior Kroupi as injury return approachesThe post Darren Bent reveals where Tottenham rank among London's top five clubs appeared first on Spurs Web.
