Can anyone perhaps help me soothe my nerves on getting my first ever COVID vaccine?

Wait 5 sec.

Hello friends, I’m about to start my clinical rotations and the COVID vaccine is required. I am NOT antivax, and just got my flu shot for this year. However, I was raised in a family that took to heart any information that was given to them on twitter, including the covid vaccine. No shame to them— I know how hard echo chambers are to escape. I even got to debunk some things I was shown on a random twitter post earlier today about side effects with my own knowledge from school, so that makes me feel a little better about it. I’ve been told for the past 7 years that the vaccine will do all these terrible things to you. I KNOW they’re not true and I do genuinely want to get the vaccine to start my clinicals, but due to how I was raised, it’s making me panic a little. Has anyone here experienced any terrible side effects from the vaccine? I’ve never had one before, and I’m a little scared to get it. submitted by /u/Background_Froyo3653 [link] [comments]
