I stopped trying to make my fitness app perfect and got my first paying customers

Wait 5 sec.

For ages I kept thinking Kinetic needed “one more feature” before I could properly put it out there. Eventually I realised I was basically using development as an excuse not to launch 😂 So I put it live. Kinetic is a simple fitness website that gives you workouts based on your goals and how often you train. The whole idea is to remove the part where beginners have to spend hours researching exercises, splits and programs before they even start. Since launching, I’ve managed to get my first paying customers. It’s not life-changing money, but seeing someone I'd never met actually put their card details in and pay for something I built was probably the biggest validation I've had so far. The interesting part is that building it wasn't actually the hardest bit. Getting people to discover it is. I've tried paid ads, SEO, Facebook groups, Reddit and a bunch of other things. Some have worked. Some have been a complete waste of time. I'm still changing the product constantly based on what people actually use rather than what I think they'll use. Current goal: get Kinetic from its first customers to 100 paying users. Site if anyone wants to roast it: train-with-kinetic.com I'd genuinely love to know one thing: If you landed on the site for the first time, what would stop you from signing up? submitted by /u/Affectionate-Fly4167 [link] [comments]
