According to FotMob, he had 100 per cent pass accuracy (2/2), three touches and won his only aerial duel. That did not shield him from criticism, though. SVT journalist Josefin Ulriksson was critical of a late throw-in, saying: “What was Bergvall doing there? A very strange throw-in to the first Bosnian available.”Of course, it did not help that Bosnia grabbed their equaliser following Bergvall’s introduction.Graham Potter explains Lucas Bergvall’s omission against Bosnia and HerzegovinaGraham Potter has now revealed why he left Bergvall out of the starting XI despite his strong recent form.He told the Swedish FA’s website: “Lucas has played two games in a short time so it felt like the right time not to play him from the start. He hasn’t played that many games in the last month and playing four games in eleven days is difficult.”It makes sense for the Tottenham man to be handed a rest, having started back-to-back matches, especially given he has only started one Premier League game this season – against Brentford, where he was substituted at half-time.He did, however, start both Carabao Cup ties against Charlton Athletic and Liverpool, playing the full 90 minutes in each. With just 33 minutes of league action since that 3-0 defeat, Potter’s decision to manage Bergvall’s output is understandable.READ MORE: Dele Alli names his four favourite Tottenham teammates, one ‘made my job so easy’The post Tottenham will like what Sweden did with Lucas Bergvall after strong form vs Poland appeared first on Spurs Web.
