With a ticket to the GI FanDuel Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies on the line, Emphatic (Nyquist–Convinced, by Tiznow) took the GI Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland on Friday afternoon. The 2-year-old PA-bred, who came to Keeneland with a perfect record, was quick out of the starting gate and established her lead into the first turn. Cruising along up the backstretch and around the far turn, Emphatic kept to the task and won the big prize on opening day. Favorite and 'TDN Rising Star' Summer Starlet (City of Light) was the runner-up. You might say it was an EMPHATIC victory…#1 EMPHATIC won the $650,000 Alcibiades Stakes (G1) at @keenelandracing under @Tyler_Gaff for trainer @brenpwalsh.
