Side project I just shipped. ChatGPT has no bulk delete, and deleting fast triggers a "too many requests" lockout on your whole chat history. There are paid extensions, but most are closed source, and I didn't want to give one my ChatGPT session. Triage is a userscript: a two-pane "read, then decide" workspace over chatgpt.com, and a queue that runs one change every 8 seconds. It backs off exactly as long as ChatGPT asks, survives reloads, and double-checks its own work at the end. Some things I learned building it: - The lockout comes from the chat list endpoint, and the official sidebar hammers it after every delete - ChatGPT's list lags behind archives by minutes. My first live test flagged a successful archive as failed, so it now asks about the chat itself before crying wolf - Frame-by-frame testing found the theme switch had 7 different animation timings, so light/dark is now a single circular reveal Demo (fake account): https://nasircissistic.github.io/chatgpt-triage/demo/ Code (MIT): https://github.com/NASIRCISSISTIC/chatgpt-triage Feedback on the design is very welcome, especially from anyone with thousands of chats. submitted by /u/NASIRCISSISTIC [link] [comments]
