They say room (but hint they want you to have your own RV) and board (but then say some food). They don’t know what either term means. Board is supposed to mean three full meals a day equaling all your caloric needs (2000-2400 calories, minimum). Room is supposed to mean sleeping and hanging out space that has free electricity, free heat, free plumbing and free hot water for bathing. Room doesn’t necessarily include laundry facilities but you’d expect a shelf in a fridge and to have use of a coffee maker, microwave and stove. Nowadays room usually includes internet service too. Your remaining expenses would be medical bills/premiums -though to be honest you could qualify for Medicaid doing this, your vehicle, your clothes, your cell phone, extra snacks/treats, alcohol, cigarettes or other drugs, and gifts you buy for others. A smart person interested in this would negotiate a gas stipend in addition to full room and board, or demand the use of a vehicle owned by the facility when running facility errands entirely (so gas and wear and tear don’t go on your personal vehicle). With that included, and proper room and board, this could be a decent deal for the right person, if the hours do average 3/day.
