Torino have announced the exit of head coach Roberto D'Aversa, with Ignazio Abate named as his immediate replacement.D'Aversa was only appointed on February 23, following the dismissal of Marco Baroni, and led Torino to a 12th-place finish after a 2-2 draw with derby rivals Juventus on the final day in Serie A.However, there will be a change in head coach for the new season, with Abate signing a two-year deal through to June 2028.D'Aversa did not lose any of his first six home games (W4 D2) as Torino boss in the Italian top flight. In the three-point-for-a-win era, only two coaches had achieved that feat: Sinisa Mihajlovic in 2016-17 and Nedo Sonetti in 1994-95.D'Aversa won five of his 12 matches (D3 L4), averaging 1.5 points per game in Serie A.Dal primo luglio 2026 la conduzione della Prima Squadra sarà affidata al tecnico Ignazio Abate.
