U.S. President Donald Trump’s public statements should be treated with caution, as they have not been confirmed by Tehran. The two countries remain far apart in their approaches to resolving the crisis, with few signs of de-escalation. Repeated attacks on Indian ships could strain U.S.-India relations.Even diplomatic experts struggle to decipher America’s motives, given its central role in triggering the crisis.
