The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is participating in the 9th edition of the Karibu-KiliFair Tourism and Travel Trade Exhibition, one of East Africa’s premier tourism expos, taking place from June 4–7, 2026, at the Magereza Grounds in Arusha, Tanzania.The annual trade fair has attracted more than 500 exhibitors from over 15 countries, 700 international and regional travel buyers from 45 countries, and an estimated 10,000 trade visitors, providing a strategic platform for destination marketing, business networking, and tourism investment promotion.UTB’s participation is aimed at strengthening partnerships with travel trade professionals, increasing awareness of Uganda’s tourism offerings, and positioning the country as one of Africa’s leading travel destinations.The tourism board is working closely with the Uganda Consulate in Arusha to enhance the visibility of Destination Uganda throughout the four-day event. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting Uganda as the Pearl of Africa and expanding its footprint in regional and international tourism markets.Speaking ahead of the exhibition, Dr. Gessa Simplicious, Head of Public Relations at the Uganda Tourism Board, said the fair presents a valuable opportunity to engage key tourism stakeholders and showcase Uganda’s diverse attractions.“Karibu-KiliFair offers an important platform for engaging travel trade partners and showcasing the diversity of experiences that make Uganda a premier destination.
