They haven’t been on a holiday more than 4 hours away in so long though! I think the last time I went on a “holiday” was 16 years ago. Do I have savings to do so? Yes! Do I have other priorities? Also yes, so no holidays. But it would be really nice if someone else paid for my kids stuff, because I want to keep my savings for actual emergencies and not just life expenses…
