As shown during the Summer Games Fest tonight, Yakuza prequel Stranger Than Heaven won’t just have Snoop Dogg and his son in the game. No, it’ll also somehow feature Tupac, the legendary rapper. Its trailer, shown during SGF, also confirmed that Stranger Than Heaven would release on January 15 next year, adding to the ever-expanding list of 2027 releases, which’ll probably make it one of the biggest years for games in the industry’s history. As for Tupac, his likeness will be used to portray one of the characters in Stranger Than Heaven, itself apparently closely related to the United States within its story. Snoop Dogg, another American rapper, as well as his son, has already been confirmed to appear in the game, with the former also appearing on stage next to the developers to explain Tupac’s appearance. He said that the legendary rapper’s likeness and voice and spirit live on to this day and that they found it appropriate to include one of the best rappers to have ever lived. Whether AI will be used to recreate the rapper’s voice is as of yet unknown, but we’ll update this article with any relevant information we come across. 0The post Yakuza prequel Stranger Than Heaven officially features Tupac playing a character appeared first on Destructoid.
