The airport welcomed more than 10 million passengers in 2025, connecting Malta to 111 airports across 37 markets through 34 airline partners.Earlier this year, Malta International Airport also announced a €345 million investment programme aimed at expanding infrastructure, improving operations and reducing its environmental footprint. The airport’s recent milestones include the expansion of the terminal building, additional aircraft parking stands, a new VIP terminal and the commissioning of its fifth photovoltaic farm.As Malta pushes to attract more visitors from the United States, today’s inaugural Delta flight marks one of the most significant additions to the island’s aviation network in recent years. Will you be making use of these direct flights?•
