It’s fairly common in lower income areas. I’ve had coworkers at some of my past jobs that would basically carry around an entire snack aisle in their bag and sell chips and cookies and stuff to other coworkers. It was also really common in high school. I personally think the theory that this person owns an actual vending machine near a gym is a good guess though, based on the items they’re requesting.
