Boston neighbor kept leaving notes on their car about how they’re parked. Then the resident checked with the city: ‘shocked’

A Boston resident claims they are dealing with an ongoing parking dispute that has turned into a steady exchange of handwritten notes. According to a post shared on Reddit, the problem reportedly started soon after the user moved into a new apartment building with limited parking for its tenants. The resident says they had received approval from the city for a parking permit, but says a neighbor has continued leaving notes on their car claiming that parking was not allowed. The resident shared the details on Reddit, in the r/mildlyinfuriating community. The user, known as Ok_Percentage3947, posted images that appear to be the notes left on their car. According to the post, the building shares about 20 parking spots across two nearby apartment complexes. The resident said they had applied for a free local parking permit before their lease began. As found by The Nerd Stash, the resident said the city transit office confirmed that parking was allowed while they waited for the physical permit sticker to arrive. According to the resident, the neighbor remained unconvinced, and the first note reportedly appeared just three days after the month began. The note exchange reportedly escalated into personal insults After receiving the first note, the resident said they responded with printed replies explaining their situation and calling out what they described as bad neighbor behavior. According to the post, the neighbor continued the back-and-forth regardless, and the tone of the messages appears to be shifted from the parking dispute into personal attacks. In one note, shared by the OP, the neighbor appears to acknowledge the resident’s right to park but still called them an “entitled brat,” adding that they were “shocked” the resident believed others shared their “low IQ logic and sentiment.”  The resident seems to share their frustration while also acknowledging how unusual the situation had become. “I’m thinking we should probably stop responding at this point since this guy is clearly out of his gourd, but it is pretty annoying,” the user wrote in their post. New Neighbor Keeps Leaving Notes On Our Car byu/Ok_Percentage3947 inmildlyinfuriating The post drew significant attention from other Reddit users, with many offering their own theories about the neighbor’s behavior in the comments. One commenter, who appears to have summed up the situation, said, “Now if I back down I’ll look stupid. So I better double down.” Another commenter said, “Well, sh–, I’m 100% wrong but now I need to write a note that makes you the jerk anyway.”  Another user suggests that anyone who uses the phrase “low IQ” casually is, in their words, “beyond reasoning with.” According to the post, the resident also suggested the neighbor may have seen the thread, writing: “I’m thinking based on his syntax and writing skills maybe he uses this website so perhaps he’ll see this and feel some type of shame.” Parking lots have apparently been the setting for other unusual moments shared online, including one where a woman bought $700 in parking lot steaks before checking the comments. Tense encounters in parking areas have also drawn attention elsewhere, as seen in one case where a man and a roaring Nissan in a lot drew reactions. It’s worth keeping in mind that this story is based solely on the account of Reddit user Ok_Percentage3947, and the neighbor has not made any public response to the allegations as of this writing.
