ENDO & FIBROID REMOVAL POST SURGERY PAIN & QUESTION xx

Wait 5 sec.

hi all, i've had my endo & fibroid removal surgery and i'm looking for some advice. in the past year, they discovered polyps and further fibroid growth. they kept pushing birth control which i refused and they eventually did an Laproscopy and MRI to which they discovered endo. last week i had my surgery and they confirmed it was between stage 2/3, so they were able to do the cuts and burns, and they also removed the fibroids and other growth but left the cysts advising they were small and probably were not contributing towards any pain. as they had done this, i agreed to getting the coil, as im hesitant about dianogiest due to the possible implications it may have with fertility. i am a week and 3 days post op, i have barely been able to move but im on the mend and a bit more mobile now. yesterday night i decided to go on a drive and this wave of pain started to which led me to go back home but the pain did not subside. these waves were like cramps i have never experienced before i was in so much pain i couldn't eat, or use my phone when the waves hit like i found myself in tears and having to take dihydrocodeine & 2000mg of paracetamol to knock me to sleep. is this normal, is this possibly the effect of the coil? if so i may get it removed because i cannot live like that. please share your experiences, span of recovery and what helped & experiences with the coil! thank you xo additional note: for those seeking diagnosis, i was discharged after 4 years being under gynae when my consultant left and i was placed under a new one who gave me the ultimatum on birth control knowing i had ovarian cysts. i returned a year later with polyps, and fibroids which kept multiplying. (perhaps tmi) i was having blood clots the size of super sized tampons leaving my body and leaving me in excruciating pain during my periods. i kept denying birth control, because if i took it without investigation they wouldn't have monitored this and this all happened within a year. i made a huge point that this wouldn't have escalated if i wasn't discharged, this is what pushed the MRI which concluded with the endo diagnosis. Please keep fighting for your health and combat threats of discharge, i'm extremely fortunate this didn't reach any further organs and now i'm happily compliant to taking birth control, because it is a form of prevention from what we are aware of. wishing you all the best and support to you and those who are navigating following diagnosis.
